The Prisons Memory Archive (PMA) is a collection of filmed walk-and-talk recordings with those who had a connection with Armagh Gaol and Maze and Long Kesh during the conflict known as the Troubles in Northern Ireland / the North of Ireland. The PMA team and their partners at the Public Records Office of Northern Ireland (PRONI) asked us to support them in developing an updated visual identity for their unique archive, and a comprehensive inclusive website to effectively house and preserve it. In collaboration with project partners and advisory groups we established and led with a meaningful concept which provided a valuable foundation for all of our design outputs – that of parallel stories.
